Arcadia sits deep in DeSoto County cattle country, where Florida Crackers have been working cattle for generations.
The Arcadia rodeo tradition took hold nearly a century ago and carries on today as the Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo — the “Granddaddy of ‘Em All.”
This original period artwork fell in place to be everything we were hoping for: five big days, $1,100 in cash prizes, a Cowgirl Queen contest, and one cowboy hanging on for the hero ride.
